ABOUT ME
Life is too short to be anything but happy.
It isn’t about trying to survive the storm, it’s about learning how to dance in the rain.
So LOVE deeply, FORGIVE quickly, TAKE chances, NEVER have regrets and JUST DANCE!

I love to teach, because I love children. Teaching allows me to work on hearts and minds, to guide children in becoming empowered, literate, engaged, creative, liberated human beings who want to make a difference in this world.
I was not always in the teaching profession. My Bachelors Degree is in accounting, and I worked at a mid-size accounting firm for three years after college where I obtained my CPA license. I really enjoyed working in Manhattan and loved working as an auditor in the garment district; however I realized early that accounting was not the career for me. It was a message from a fortune cookie that led me into my current career that is truly so fulfilling. The message stated, “Working with children will have a miraculous effect on your spirit.” A few weeks after reading that message, I applied to graduate school with the goal to become an elementary school teacher.
Soon after, I achieved that goal and obtained my Masters Degree in Elementary Education. I am a New York State licensed elementary and business teacher. I have also received a professional degree in Computer Education and Educational Administration. I am currently licensed to work as a school administrator as well as a school district administrator. My past teaching experience has included teaching high school and middle school business, first grade, fifth grade and technology K-9th grade.
One area I specialize in is technology. I currently have a technology consulting business, in which I train educators K-12 how to integrate technology properly into their current curriculum. I am also often hired to teach the technology classes at the schools I consult at. I have been teaching technology K-12 for the past 10 years. I believe technology should never be taught in isolation, and I am always excited to learn more about the ever-changing field and ways to help children and fellow colleagues.
I am also happily married and a mom to a seven year old boy and a eight year old girl. I am blessed to have two amazing children that have “a miraculous effect on my spirit” every single day of my life!
